The Background

Pichvi is a historical union formed by the unification of three nations: Hartl, Davslak, and Visel. United by a shared heritage, history, and some minor mutual respect, our country stands as a testament to the immense power of cooperation! Pichvi is a country blessed with natural beauty. It offers a giant variety of landscapes: from the sunny beaches of Delta, to the misty mountains of Davslak, and the monument of the Five-Headed Donkey (praise be), there is much to discover and to explore. Our people are very proud of their customs, moral principles, and tight-knit communities. Honesty and kindness are our policy! We hope you come to visit!

REGIONS:

Pichvi is composed of fourteen distinct regions, each with its own landscape and history. In this section we will detail them with short overviews.

Hartl:
The heartland and most populous region. Known for its vast river valleys and wide plains, Hartl developed early as a hub for trade. Its largest city, Picvi, is a giant economic hub; next to it lies Cedar. Cedar is the capital of Pichvi as a whole, along with being the capital of Hartl. Metallurgy is also a major industry.

Visel:
Residing on the island of Visel, it is defined by its many beaches, ports, and fishing industry. Tourism thrives here, and the capital, Viseltn (Weasel City), is known for its major trading hub status.

Orkinq:
Lying in between the ocean and the giant Ozr lake, Orkinq is the most influential region in the southern half of Pichvi. Its name derives from its two largest cities: Ork and Kirkinq. The region is home to the nation's only oil reserves. The region's capital is Ork.

Perching:
Famously overlooked, this region is the most "average" of them all. This region was not even available on the website for a "short" period of time! Its capital is Heftjala.

Furi (Vuri):
Located in the country's interior, Furi's rugged terrain and valleys make it rich in mineral deposits. Unfortunately, the region's industry is dying off after the fall of the communist regime, as central funding is minor. Its capital is Hauwi.

Jaf (Jav):
The highland region of Jaf is known for its sharp cliffs and cool, misty air. It is brimming with water resources, being home to the nation's best mineral water. Jaf National Park also resides in this region, home to 64 species of endemic mammals. Jaf's capital is Jazileniu.

Dasvlak:
The northern mountains of Dasvlak rise sharply above the central plain. It is famous for its cold climate, acting as a ski resort. Dasvlak's capital is Klipenhai.

Var:
A river basin surrounded by fertile farmland. Var's capital, Vauti, is a quiet farming-based town. It is often called the "breadbasket of Pichvi".

Kitsu:
The rolling hills of Kitsu host a mix of vineyards, orchards, and small rural towns. The capital of Ritsu is the centre for wine production in Pichvi.

Plata:
Located in the west, Plata is a small island region with a surprisingly strong economy. Its capital, which is also its namesake, hosts many canals and acts as a major port city.

Biu:
A small, densely forested area with a strong local identity. Biu's towns are known for their wooden architecture and quiet lifestyle surrounded by nature. Biu's capital is also named Biu.

Nolak:
A remote northern territory of wide tundra plains and sparse forests. Settlements like Varaq are few but enduring, known for their resilience and connection to traditional hunting and herding practices.

Isla, Keresi & Verkh:
Three islands forming a single maritime region. They are famous for their lighthouses, seafaring, and seaside villages such as Keresi Port and Verkhtn.

Ritler:
A small but culturally rich island region located near Visel. Its capital, Busik, is a small city founded in the IV century, marking one of the oldest continuously inhabited areas in the country.

SIMPLE GOVERNMENTAL CHART

mistah foone i couldnt get does waias

Here's an explanation of the diagram of our government. Our journey begins with the public. Citizens from across every region elect representatives to serve in our Parliament. This body crafts laws and debates national policy. From Parliament, we select a Prime Minister, who leads our government and coordinates national efforts through a team of ministers known as the Cabinet. These officials manage everything from education and defence to industry and diplomacy (More bellow). We also have a president, who serves as a ceremonial head of state.

Pichvi's government is structured around a set of ministries, each responsible for a specific sector of national administration. In this section we provide short overviews of each ministry and its role in the governance of Pichvi.

Agriculture:
Responsible for overseeing the nation's farming and livestock. The ministry ensures food security and safety and manages agricultural subsidies.

Environmental Protection and Sustainability:
This ministry protects Pichvi's natural landscapes, forests, rivers, wildlife, etc. It develops conservation and climate action as well.

Correctional Facilities:
Tasked with managing Pichvi's prisons, rehabilitation programmes, and correctional policies. The ministry focuses on security and reintegration of offenders.

Justice:
Oversees the legal system, courts, and law enforcement policy. It ensures the rule of law is upheld and administers the country's judiciary framework.

Rural Development:
Dedicated to the economic and social growth of Pichvi's countryside, this ministry implements projects to improve infrastructure, housing, and services in remote areas. The minister resides in Davslak.

Culture and Sport:
Promotes Pichvi's art, literature, music, and sporting activities. The ministry organises national events and festivals and supports sports leagues and cultural institutions.

Defence:
Responsible for Pichvi's military forces. The ministry also oversees border security and partners with arms manufacturers.

Infrastructure and Transport:
Oversees the development and maintenance of roads, railways, ports, and public transport systems.

Foreign Affairs:
Manages Pichvi's international relations, diplomatic missions, and global partnerships. The ministry negotiates treaties, represents the nation abroad, and advises on international policy. It also operates very closely with the ministry of World Assembly Affairs.

Internal Affairs:
Handles domestic security, civil administration, and public safety. The ministry coordinates law enforcement and emergency services.

Education:
Responsible for schools, universities, and kindergartens. The ministry develops curricula, supports teachers, and promotes scientific research.

Health:
Oversees hospitals, clinics, and public health. The ministry ensures access to medical care, runs the many nationalised hospitals and clinics, and regulates pharmaceuticals.

Energy:
Manages Pichvi's energy production and distribution The ministry has a focus on modernising infrastructure and less so on the creation of new power plants. The ministry also partners with Water to manage hydroelectric power stations.

Water:
Focuses on water management, distribution, and conservation. The ministry maintains dams, rivers, and public water systems while promoting sustainable usage.

World Assembly Affairs:
Represents Pichvi in the World Assembly. The ministry liaises closely with Foreign Affairs.

OUR LANGUAGES:

Pichvian is not a singualar language, many Pichvian languages exist, here is a chart of them:

(Art made by Javsli Hinqeri, age 6)
?

Here is a map that shows language ranges:

Red: Biuian (Almost endangered) | Brown: Visel | Green: Standard Pichvian | Purple: Hartl | Orange: Furi | Yellow: Davslak

Standard Pichvian was formed out of the Hartl language as a base and using other Pichvian languages for sertain words and grammar. It was created in the 18th century after the second full unification of Hartl, Davslak, Biu, Plata and Visel. Most of these people couldn't comunicate together well, so a language was made to unite them and make talking easier. During the Communist Revolution, the language underwent radical reforms: several letters were removed for being deemed excesses, spellings were simplified to match phonetics, and regional dialects were suppressed in favor of a unifying national standard. This is the version we use today.

OUR HISTORY:

The cultural and historical foundation of Pichvi begins with the ancient Kingdoms of Hartl, Visel, and Davslak, each with distinct identities: Hartl, the most populated; Visel, the local coastal power; and Davslak, known for its mountains, isolation, and spiritualism. These three rival kingdoms were first unified under the banner of the First United Kingdom of Pichvi. This unification enabled rapid expansion into surrounding territories, including Plata, Biu, and Ritler. However, internal strife and dynastic disputes fractured the royal house of Gerb, leading to the fall of the first kingdom and the rise of the Second Kingdom, formed after violent succession conflicts that only further destabilised the realm. In the early 20th century, a communist revolution overthrew the monarchy, installing a populist regime that aimed to abolish class divides. During this period, the Visel Free State declared independence, operating as a sovereign republic for five years before being reabsorbed into the nation after a violent 4-year-long conflict. Today, Pichvi is a socialist democracy, though somewhat riddled with political nepotism. Still, it stands united and proud!

OUR CULTURE:

Pichvian culture is very unique due to its regional diversity and complex history. The official language, Standard Pichvian, is widely spoken alongside various dialects rooted in Hartl, Davslak, and Visel origins. Religion plays a subtle role in daily life. This is because religion was banned during the communist era of the nation; currently the most popular region is Christianity. Notably, in the Delta region, a rapidly growing Five-Headed Donkey cult has taken root. Originating from a donkey that lived in the Delta museum gift shop that somehow teleported to every known nuclear meltdown in history. The Donkey cult is now recognised as part of Delta's heritage, with nonbelievers being burnt at the stake.
